The only thing that never changes, is change itself. Change is a constant. Changes may take many forms and relate to any area of life, but change, itself, is constant. We sometimes think we have a choice. We can change or we can choose not to change. There is some truth to the idea that we can choose not to change. The problem is, however, even if we choose to resist change, change still happens, and in time, will change us whether we like it or not!
Recently I was asked to spend a week with young pastors at the Baltic Pastoral Institute in Riga, Latvia helping them prepare to lead change and deal with the inevitable conflict that accompanies change.
